My Seventh Entry


In this entry, it give you the information about the secret ingredients or secret methods in order to catch the authentic flavors of the cuisine. In this entry, it will reveal the tips or specific methods that are crucial in order to preserve the taste and flavor of Terengganu Cuisine.
Fried Keropok Lekor
Keropok lekor is a one of the famous Terengganu unique delicacies. It is made from fish fillets, mixed starch and a little bit of salts. Keropok Lekor which have been mixed with the starch flour usually will be more crispy when deep fried however it turns become chewy after it been cool down. In other hand, Keropok Lekor mixed with sago will not turn chewy even after been fried and cooled down. Second tips is that, Keropok Lekor also could be processed into Keropok Keping (Fish Crackers). Keropok Lekor which have been boiled, will be cut into slices and been dried up in order to make fish crackers (Keropok Keping). Then, these fish crackers will be expanded when being fried into hot cooking oil and it its very addicting when served with chili sauces. Next, Nasi Dagang secret tips. Nasi Dagang served with its gravy using it special spices. This special spices is very different with ordinary curry spices. Fish that is used in Nasi Dagang gravy usually  Black Sword Fish ( Ikan Ayer Hitam) which in big size, cut into chunk. Also, acar (cucumber salad) also served with. Nasi Dagang is well known because of its special rice. The rice is cooked with coconut milk and some spices making it special and unique from ordinary rice. Nasi Dagang also have only one dishes and not many making it famous and superbly delicious.

Akok Terenganu
Akok is a Terengganu traditional dessert. The special methods of processing it making it among famously and very popular to the visitors. Akok Bujur, Akok bunga and Akok Kemboja are cooked in its special tray or mixed bowl. Akok consists of sweet, smoky and custard taste making it very special than any ordinary cakes. The ingredients and cooking methods are the important factors making it amazingly delicious. Usually akok is in pale green colors.
